Parent’s Night Out FAQ

Q.How often is Parents’ Night Out offered?

A.Parents’ Night Out is offered every Friday. Typically,In the event we schedule it for a different week, we will post it on the website and send you an email.

Q.How old does my child have to be to attend Parents’ Night Out?

A.All children ages 5-14 may attend. All children must be fully potty-trained.

Q.Can I drop off my child or do we need to stay and watch?

A.Once you have signed your child in, you are free to leave. However, if you would like to stay and watch, you are more than welcome to observe from the bleachers.  A release and waiver form must be on file for each child in attendance before the parent leaves the building.  Our preference is that all parents register online with an account to our parent portal that has the waiver forms online and is safely secured in their account.  If they are drop off’s, we will have them sign a waiver/release form on site.  Paper forms will need to be signed each night.  Electronic enrollment and signature only requires the parent to sign the release and waiver form once.

Q.Do we have to be enrolled in a class to attend Parents’ Night Out?

Q.Will they have free play time?

A.Yes, they have free play, but our focus will be on organized activities such as blind volleyball, kick ball, hide and seek, treasure hunt ect…. The trampolines, pit, and floor will be open for a period of scheduled time for all children under supervision.  At 9pm, we will have wind down time and turn on a movie with our screen and projector movie set up.  Kids can bring sleeping bags, pillows or stuff toy to cuddle with during the movie.  TxPA will have a limited amount of items for kids to sit on besides the floor.  All movies will be rated G or PG.

Q.Are the children separated into age groups?

A.All age groups will be given the choice of where they would like to play. Each station will be coach supervised. If we have a large attendance we will create a preschool group and they will have a coach assigned to their group.

Q.Is dinner or a snack provided?

A.Yes, dinner will be provided for each child. Pizza and drinks are the usual menu, but this will be announced prior to the date of the event. If you would like to leave some money up front for your child, they will be allowed to use the vending machine. You may pack your child with a snack for movie time for your child.  TXPA does not provide a snack.

Q.What is the cost for Parents’ Night Out?

A.If you pre-register, the charge will be $25.00 per child non members ,($20.00 per child members). Online pre-registration ends at 6:00PM. However, we do allow walk-in enrollments. The charge will be $30.00 per child  non members ($25.00 per child members). Note: Our Valentine’s Parents’ Night Out is extended until 12:00AM and the charge will be $30.00 per child if pre-registered and $35.00 for walk-in registration.  Members are defined as anyone registered for our after school care program, recreational class and/or all-star team athlete and has paid the annual registration fee.  Individuals who have taken advantage of of our summer camps or clinics, but are not participating in one of the above mentioned programs is not considered a member of TxPA.

Q.What is the cancellation for Parents’ Night Out?

A.If you cancel your enrollment by 6:00PM, we will apply the credit back to your TXPA account for future use. No refunds will be given.  Credits to your account only.

Q.What should my child wear?

A.Play clothes will be perfect. Socks and shoes are removed upon arrival.

Q.What is the check in/check out policy for Parents’ Night Out?

A.Upon arrival all children will be signed in by a parent and receive a bracelet. The number on the bracelet will be given to you via a check in ticket at this time. Upon return and in order for you child to be released to you, you must have the matching ticket and number for your child or be a person on file as an authorized to pick up.  ID will be required for check out.   If someone else is picking up your child, he/she will need to be authorized at sign in time if they are not listed in your online registration.  They will need to show ID and will need to know the name and number of the child they are picking up.
